As an organisation that operates out of 22 locations in Western Australia, COVID-19 has presented a challenge to Ear Science.

As the pandemic has evolved, we have remained agile.  Ear Science is committed to the well-being of our team and our clients. The following COVID Safe Plan will be in place to reduce risk and keep ourselves and our clients healthy while minimising impact to daily operations across Ear Science.

Guided by factual health advice and looking for best practice initiatives, we adopted proven safety measures to help our teams play their part in supporting health and safety in our communities.

This Covid Safe Plan outlines;

  1. General information
  2. The measures to minimise the spread of COVID within Ear Science and
  3. Our plan in the event of a positive case at an Ear Science location.

Please read below for the approach we are taking in our Corporate Offices, Laboratories, and Clinics.

All guidelines provided by the Australian Government are being followed.

All team members are fully vaccinated.

Our response to hygiene

We have strict hospital-level processes in all locations, including the need for team members to wash and sanitise their hands on arrival.

Good hygiene is a condition of entry for all clients, team members, visitors, service providers, contractors, vendors and suppliers.

Hand sanitiser stations are at all entry points for clients and team members.

Our response to cleaning

All clinicians will ensure their desks are clear of any clutter, clean and disinfect their desks, door handles, and other high touch surfaces in between each client, following government guidelines.

For clinic spaces – wipes, masks and hand sanitisers will be available at various stations throughout and each team member is required to clean and disinfect all surfaces that are touched.

We will continue to monitor health advice from the Department of Health and act accordingly.

If a team member feels unwell, he or she will be required to stay home.
