Susannah is an expert in Artificial Intelligence and Human-Centred Computing. Susannah is a teaching and research academic in the Discipline of Computing, School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Curtin University. She is extremely passionate about teaching and guiding the next generation of Computing students.

It is a privilege watching my students grow and follow their dreams.

Susannah has many years Computer Science and Software Engineering experience in research, teaching, and industry. Susannah holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne in Artificial Intelligence, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from UWA. Her interests are in Artificial Intelligence, Human-Centred Computing, Human Factors (HF), Virtual Reality (VR), and 5G, in health, defence, social impact, and sustainability domains.

Susannah is the Optus 5G Lab manager at the Optus Centre for Artificial Intelligence (OCAI) at Curtin University. She manages many multi-disciplinary collaborative projects and partnerships for industry, researchers, and students in Responsible and Responsive AI, and 5G. Susannah is also Senior Lecturer in Computing where she is passionate about teaching user-centric mobile and web design using co-design and design thinking.
