The Healthy Hearing Outback program aims to benefit community members from seeing our specialist clinical team who provides tertiary ear and hearing care to children and adults. We examine, diagnose, treat and refer patients for surgery on country in one visit.

Ear Science Australia has created Australasia’s first biobank of its kind, advancing the development of genetic therapies for hearing loss across all ages. The Australasian Hearing Registry and Biobank, also known as the Aussie Ear Bank, is Australia’s first repository dedicated to preserving tissue samples associated with genetic hearing loss.
To support people in need, Lions Hearing Clinics, in partnership with the Lions Hearing Foundation, donate thousands of pre‑owned hearing aids through a joint initiative known as the Lions Hearing Aid Bank. These devices are distributed globally, with a particular focus on developing countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, and Kenya.
The Gift of Hearing Appeal raises crucial funds to advance research discovery, clinical care, and innovation pipelines, accelerating impact beyond what traditional funding alone can achieve.
Through to generosity of our community supporters, Ear Science has assisted many people in need, through the provision of hearing aids and cochlear implants. The research funded and conducted by Ear Science Institute Australia has the potential to help millions of people worldwide.
