This year marks an extraordinary milestone in the history of Ear Science Institute Australia. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we pause to reflect on a remarkable journey of innovation, discovery, care and community impact. More importantly, we celebrate the people who have made it all possible.

For 25 years, Ear Science has brought together research, clinical care and education with a shared purpose: improving the lives of people affected by ear and hearing disorders. From our beginnings in 2001, founded on Professor Marcus Atlas’ vision of delivering world-class hearing research and care in Western Australia, we have grown into a globally recognised institute that continues to transform lives locally, nationally and internationally.

Over the past quarter century, our teams have supported thousands of individuals and families through our ground-breaking research, clinics, hearing implant services, outreach programs, and education initiatives. We have built a unique model where every patient interaction helps inform new discoveries, and every breakthrough brings us one step closer to better treatments, improved access to care and, ultimately, a future where hearing loss can be prevented, treated and cured.

While we are proud of our achievements, this anniversary is about much more than milestones and accomplishments; it is about recognising the dedication, passion and expertise of our staff, researchers, clinicians, volunteers, donors, partners and supporters. Our values of Excellence, Success, Innovation and Authenticity have guided our journey and continue to shape the way we work together. Every person who has been part of Ear Science’s story has contributed to the impact we have today and the opportunities which lie ahead.
