Anne's story

I had hearing loss from the age of 28.

One day in my forties, I was working as a senior retail officer. I suddenly could not hear at all and had to get help.

I received cochlear implants on both my left and right sides. On the day of my switch-on, my husband said my whole face lit up.

Before my implants, when we went out dining, I could not hear at all. Now when we go out, I can hear the conversation around me. I can hear what was being said in the next room at home. I hear the different sounds in music.

I received my miracle with the implants.

To all the wonderful people at Ear Science, I give my heartfelt thanks – they were marvellous. I have been given independence, and it’s such a wonderful thing for me.

Thank you so much once again everyone.
