In Australia, there are many ways to access hearing care. Whether you need help covering the cost of a hearing test or hearing aids, support is available.

Hearing Services Program

Eligible Pensioners and Veteran clients receive fully subsidised hearing tests under the Hearing Services Program and a subsidy towards hearing aids.

Medicare rebates are available for patients referred for a full hearing assessment by their GP.

Absolutely wonderful experience from the time I entered the door! The receptionist, Andy is super helpful and friendly. The Audiologist, Carla Padbury is Professional and extremely well qualified. She thoroughly tested my hearing and explained everything with care and patience. They went out of their way to help me with the claim to my Health fund.
The practise has a range of hearing aids and are commission free so I felt I was given the best recommendation for my ears. I have been dealing with Audiologists for many years and this was just the absolute best experience - I would highly recommend them!

She gave a me a full assessment and showed me the status of my hearing loss. She adjusted my current pair of hearing aids to the extent that now I can hear very much better. We were visiting Sydney in June 2025 and I needed new, larger domes for my Oticon hearing aids because they were slipping out of my ear canals. Without an appointment, we stopped by Lions Hearing Clinic on George Street and Anthony immediately said they could help. The audiologist (Minerva) not only cleaned my hearing aids and installed new domes, she also attached lines that helped the devices stay put. And they did all of this for free! What an incredibly kind thing to do for a tourist! I strongly recommend Lions Hearing Clinic!
