Cost of Hearing Care in Australia

In Australia, there are many ways to access hearing care. Whether you need help covering the cost of a hearing test or hearing aids, support is available.

Hearing Services Program

Eligible Pensioners and Veteran clients receive fully subsidised hearing tests under the Hearing Services Program and a subsidy towards hearing aids.

Medicare Rebate

Medicare rebates are available for patients referred for a full hearing assessment by their GP.

Private Funding

If you have Private Health Insurance, you may be able to claim a rebate on hearing aids, subject to your level of cover.
