Frequently Asked Questions

Implant Referrals NSW

Your GP may refer you to an ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat specialist) if they believe it’s needed.

For hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, or ear infections, it’s often best to see an audiologist first. A hearing assessment helps determine whether an ENT referral is necessary and provides key information that ENTs usually require.

At Lions Hearing Clinic, our audiologists work closely with GPs and ENTs, ensuring you get the right referral and the best pathway for your hearing health.

I would recommend the Woodvale Lions Hearing to anyone who needs assistance with their hearing. It’s stress free.
The clinic is so personable I have a great audiologist who takes time to explain everything, can't recommend highly enough
We were visiting Sydney in June 2025 and I needed new, larger domes for my Oticon hearing aids because they were slipping out of my ear canals. Without an appointment, we stopped by Lions Hearing Clinic on George Street and Anthony immediately said they could help. The audiologist (Minerva) not only cleaned my hearing aids and installed new domes, she also attached lines that helped the devices stay put. And they did all of this for free! What an incredibly kind thing to do for a tourist! I strongly recommend Lions Hearing Clinic!
I am so impressed with Kate from Lions hearing! She always goes above and beyond when I need help with my hearing aids. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Tracey Gibsone of Lions, Dundborough, WA enabled me to continue my month long holiday when she fixed my Phonak while I had a cup of coffee. Fantastic service. The thin cable between my ear piece and hearing aid separated. 5 year old devices Normally this would be sent to Phonak for repair.
I have had many years of excellent service from Lyons in Chatswood, NSW and have recommended them to many friends who are all equally impressed.
Lovely staff. Very professional and trustworthy organisation. Highly recommend.
It is a pleasant appointment. Kate is very well experienced and informative. So glad to make an appointment from Lions Hearing clinic. The receptionist is very polite and gentle as well.
Excellent Service and Comprehensive Care

I had an outstanding experience at this audiology practice. From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional and welcoming. The audiologist provided a thorough free hearing evaluation that gave me valuable insights into my current hearing status and how it has changed since my last test.

What impressed me most was the comprehensive approach to my care. Not only did I receive a free trial hearing aid to test out, but the audiologist took the time to explain all the different options available for replacing my current device. They walked me through the various features, technology levels, and brands that would suit my specific hearing needs and lifestyle.

The audiologist was patient in answering all my questions and never made me feel rushed. They clearly explained the differences between hearing aid models and helped me understand which features would be most beneficial for my daily activities. The fact that they offered a free evaluation and trial device shows they truly care about finding the right solution for each patient rather than just making a sale.

I left feeling well-informed and confident about my next steps. The combination of professional expertise, personalized attention, and genuine care for patient outcomes makes this practice stand out. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking hearing healthcare services.
Kind, caring, compassionate staff who treat you with respect. Kate spent a long time with me and went through everything in great detail. The process took time but was very thorough and the results were then explained to me. She gave me great advice for going forward and put me at ease re. some concerns I had. Thank you. Highly recommended
