The Avant Education Centre is a specialist training facility committed to excellence in ongoing education and skills development training for medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
Our primary focus is in the area of diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the Ear, Nose and Throat. Further activities include general medical, surgical skills training and venue hire. The Avant Education Centre works with professional associations and peak bodies offering accredited training workshops. The Centre's training laboratory offers custom designed workstations enabling the simulation of surgical procedures. We have a range of basic anatomical models, computer-based simulators and instrumentation for surgical procedural skills training in a clinical context.
An integral part of Ear Science Institute Australia's bold vision is to improve the quality of life for people with ear balance and associated disorders. Avant Education Centre offers a supportive, simulated, immersive learning environment combining specialist laboratory and practical scenario based training. It specialises in the delivery of world-class education in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the head and neck. Educators and facilitators are specialists in their fields, providing up-to-date, interactive hands in training.

The Head and Neck Surgical Skills and Clinical Training Centre located at the Ear Science Institute Australia was constructed through a grant of $2.496m provided by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing: Innovative Clinical Teaching and Training Grants (ICTTG) Program.
The project was possible due to funding made available by Health Workforce Australia.
