Provides skills and knowledge for performing and interpreting otoscopy, tympanometry and basic audiometry

Course Content:

  • Understanding anatomy and physiology of the ear
  • Performing and interpreting Otoscopy, Tympanometry, basic Audiometry and Tuning fork tests
  • Identification of common conditions and pathologies of the ear
  • Identifying hearing loss
  • Working with the hearing impaired patient

This course is suitable for nurses, GPs, registrars and nurses with recent clinical practice. Over the course of 4 hours (8:30 am - 12:30 pm) a maximum group of up to 20 people will participate in small group scenarios. This course also includes a 4 hour online E learning component. The session is RACGP certified (QI & CME Program, Category 1 - 40 points). The course costs $275 per participant.
