Ear Science Institute Australia has received research grants which have enabled
our dedicated team of researchers and scientists to achieve many ground-breaking
advancements into the diagnosis and treatment of ear and hearing disorders. This
support is essential to ensure that the Institute continues to provide meaningful
assistance to the hearing impaired community.

Tele-otology as a screening & diagnostic tool for ear disease in Aboriginal children. $118,715 - 2002/3
Garnett Passe and Rodney Williams Memorial Foundation
Digital image compression for the efficient and accurate transmission of still images and movie sequences of
the eardrum for a tele-otology system. $137,020 - 2002/3
Clive and Vera Ramaicotti Research Foundation
Screening for ear disease in rural and remote Western Australia: development of a telemedicine system to
transmit images of the ear for expert assessment. $15,000 - 2002
