Surgical Book
Professor Marcus Atlas and Rob Eisenberg are the co-authors of a second edition of "A Guide
to Temporal Bone Dissection". This very popular text focuses on
temporal bone section using high-quality photography and clear,
concise description of the middle ear mastoid and neurotological
surgery.
DVD Collection
In 2005, Professor Marcus Atlas and Dr Peter O'Sullivan released three new DVD's.
The DVD collection includes:
Volume 1 - Soft Tissue Approach
Volume 2 - Middle Ear & Mastoid Surgery
Volume 3 - Neurotology
The DVD is an extremely high-quality recording of temporal
bone dissection techniques. Volume 1 deals with soft tissue
approaches, a topic that is generally difficult to teach and learn.
Volume 2 is a step-by-step approach to middle ear and mastoid
surgery. Volume 3 deals with neurotological procedures such
as the translabyrinthine approach and endolymphatic sac surgery.
The book and DVD set has recently been included in the Royal Australian College of Surgeons ear surgery curriculum.
At a recent Ear and Temporal Bone Dissection course, participants
commented on the new book and DVD set.
"At last, a temporal bone dissection manual that has great photography
and clear descriptions" - Otolaryngologist from Singapore
"Fantastic DVD's! I have seen nothing like them" - Trainee
Surgeon
"I have the 1st edition of 'A Guide to Temporal Bone Dissection', and
have found the new chapters in the 2nd edition to be very valuable, particularly the middle
fossa operation" - Otologist
